Every day is an adventure... dress accordingly!

La Discothèque

If those robin’s speckled eggs candies and the Easter bunny went to Studio 54 and danced the night away in a passionate and hazy, drug-induced trance of flashing lights, polyester prints, snakeskin, fur coats and deep plunging necklines:

these would surely be their illegitimate love child.

Miu Miu Fall 2012 (bestowed upon me by the shoe gods at over 80% off)

Some shoes are TOO good to be called shoes. They are just INCREDIBLE, wearable art.

The Lady is The Tramp

Charlie-Chaplin

125 years ago today, one of the most brilliant actors that has ever lived was born. In my ongoing classic movie obsession, I’ve lately come to appreciate Charlie Chaplin’s magnificent silent film work, but moreover am beyond impressed by his endless talents. In addition to his superb comedic abilities, he has written, directed, and scored his own films. I have not seen them all, however find “Modern Times” to be my favorite thus far (it also is Chaplin’s last movie as his well-known character, The Tramp).

Albeit being released in 1936, the movie’s premise still pretains to today: the attempts of technology to overrule human labor, the sheeplike hustle we all partake in to survive, the neverending struggle and love’s basic necessities.

Let’s all have a little fun today and pay ode to one of the greatest legends by remembering to smile, even through the most troubled of times…these modern times.
